Cardinal back in stock

Nate’s Facebook

Nate Moroshan. Cardinal Bikes chairman.

Lots of people in BMX start out just riding their bikes. But over time, their love for riding pushes them to get involved with BMX past the simple act of riding. Such is the case with Nate Moroshan. This Michigan to L.A. transplant came up with the original Commercial Bikes crew (which also included John Heaton.) Then Nate moved to L.A., got a job as product and team manager at Primo/Tip Plus and put out an awesome section in Volume’s On the Clock. But that just wasn’t good enough. So Nate gathered a crew of friends, started Cardinal Bikes earlier this year, and continues to kill it on a bike. But because of his full plate, Nate sometimes flies under the radar. So here’s Nate, according to the Hello My Name Is feature.

Hello my name is: Nathan Domitro Moroshan.

A.K.A. Nate Moroshan.

I was raised in: Taylor, MI.

The reason that you’re reading about me is: I ride BMX.

Right now I’m working on: Finishing the Cardinal site.

But I’d rather be: Riding my Bike or building a cafe bike.

My most prized possessions are: My car and my couch.

But I’d give it all away for: A sail boat and lessons.

The first thing I do in the morning is: Find my slippers and pour a cup of coffee.

The last thing I do at night is: Turn my computer off and turn the fan on.

My momma always said: “There would be days like this.”

Ricky Adam/Dig BMX

180 bar in the U.K.

The worst job I ever had was: Folding cardboard boxes at a factory in Cleveland.

I love it when people: Don’t think anyone is watching when they trip. It’s hilarious to see their reactions.

I can’t stand when people: Dont look right before they turn right and hit people on bikes.

My favorite BMX rider is: Jordan Stewart.

The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen is: The sun rising over Paris.

The ugliest thing I’ve ever seen is: The Montauk Monster.

I am what I drive, which is: 2002 VW Jetta wagon 1.8T.

My iPod is filled with: Random music and This American life Podcasts.

My favorite place in the world is: Any island with a beautiful beach.

The last time I swore I’d never drink was after a night of: Drinking with Rob Morgan at Turks. That place always makes you never want to drink again.

If you see me walking down the street say: Hello.

My most notable run-in with the law was when: I got pulled over riding my bike to work because that’s how they get most of their guys. I didn’t look 28, according to the officer.

If I had to say sorry it would be because: I made an error in judgement.

I get aggro when: I have too many drinks in certain situations.

Future goals and plans: Buy a house and build a cafe bike.

And before I leave I’d like to give a shout out to: JRG, The Cardinal Team, The Primo team, Fernando Gomarín Olaiz, Glenn PP miligan, Rob Morgan, Skully, John Povah, Dara Di Gerolamo and everyone else for their support.

E-man On the Cover of RIDEBMXmag

Yeah man you know my home boy E-man holding it down for Los Angeles got on the cover of RIDEbmx Magazine. This photo is a photo of a trick he did for a BANGER clip in Primo’s new video “Nice Try.” Holy shit, right? Rail to hop over? Oh you want more? The drop at the end of that rail down the stairs is like twenty feet to stairs… oh, you want more? The landing of this rail to hop over is onto a freeway ramp with Los Angeles traffic speeding by left and right. Hell yeah, he still gets it done.

E-man, rider for Cardinal Bikes and Primo parts, has been on the come up recently letting ‘em know that LA has BMX riders doing real work, son. Him and Boy hold it down in the new Primo video (Nice Try) so go buy that and give it a watch. Good things happening, yo.

Cardinal Bikes

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 2:56pm PDT (5 months ago)

Cardinal Bikes is a new bicycle company started by Nate Moroshan. Their frame (only product I believe) is already famous for it’s vertical (or down facing) dropouts. This video clearly shows the ease of the down facing dropout when putting on your rear wheel. Some may be worried that this design sacrifices strength in some way on the frame, but with big time grinders like E-man and Boy on the team I assure you it is as strong or stronger than a common dropout.

Watch the first video with Nate describing the ease of rear wheel application… THEN, watch the team’s Barcelona video featuring E-man, Boy, and Nate himself (to see the frame in action).

Cardinal Bikes riders Manuel “E-Man” Cantero, Anthony “Boy” Flores, and owner Nate Moroshan were featured on the Daily Habit last night (Monday, May 18) in the evening to talk about Primo’s latest video “Nice Try,” which they are all in. All three ride for Cardinal Bikes and Primo Parts. Nate rides for Etnies shoes. Manuel rides for DC shoes. Anthony rides for Osiris shoes. I find that sort of funny. So similar yet so different.

It airs today so hit the television RIGHT NOW and DVR that sh*t; I know you have it!
